After
being an assistant coach in both the Lawrence and Blue
Valley school districts for six years, Phillipe McCree
became the varsity girls head coach at Olathe Christian
School in October of 2004. Despite finishing 9-19 his first
year, he returned his second year to lead his team a school
record, 18-8, and a KCAA girls basketball state
championship. Phillipe McCree was also named KCAA Coach of
the Year in 2005-06
In 2005,
Phillipe McCree founded the Northeast Kansas Lady Prospects
Basketball Club. Now in his 9th year of coaching
boys and girls basketball, Phillipe has retired from
coaching high basketball to focus on the Lady Prospects
Basketball Club. He has also become one of the Girls
Basketball Directors for the United States Basketball
Association.
Besides
being a director for the USBA, he also a member of the
Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, Black Coaches
Association, and the Greater Kansas City Basketball Coaches
Association. |
